SHIT THAT DOES NOT WORK!
I saw a pin saying that if you placed a wooden spoon across the top of a boiling pot of pasta it won't boil over. Unfortunately, I remembered this while I was making spaghetti for dinner the other night night...
Water went everywhere. Only difference is it went around the spoon.
